Presentation of Credentials by Ambassador of India to His Majesty King

Her Excellency Ms. Manika Jain, newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Kingdom of Cambodia presented her Letter of Credence to His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Boromneath NORODOM SIHAMONI, King of Cambodia on 22 January 2018 at the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh.

His Majesty the King extended warm welcome and conveyed best wishes to Ambassador Manika Jain for a successful mission in Cambodia.He acknowledged that India and Cambodia have remained good friends since ancient past and both countries share similar civilization and culture. He expressed profound thanks to Government of India for its contribution in the fields of education, human resource development, rural development, agriculture, electricity, water resource development, conservation of ancient temples and assistance within the framework of ASEAN and Mekong Ganga Cooperation. He conveyed his good wishes to the Hon’ble President and friendly people of India.

Ambassador Manika Jain conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of Republic of India and his government to His Majesty the King and affirmed her commitment to work hard for promoting mutual cooperation and reinforcing the bilateral ties between the two countries. She thanked His Majesty the King and the Royal Government of Cambodia for continued support to India in regional and international fora including the UN. She added that India was looking forward to the visit of Samdech Prime Minister Hun Sen and delegation to India scheduled later this week.
