H.E. Naveen Srivastava, Ambassador of India to Cambodia

Mr. Naveen Srivastava joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1993. He served as Second Secretary from 1995-1997 in Hong Kong where he also learned Mandarin. Thereafter, he was posted at the Indian Embassy in Beijing as First Secretary, where he spent the next three and a half years. After returning to India, he worked in the Ministry of External Affairs as Director of Disarmament and Nonproliferation Division from 2002 to 2006 and dealt with issues related to multilateral Disarmament and Nonproliferation negotiations as well as regional security affairs. He also dealt with bilateral strategic cooperation issues during this period.

Mr. Srivastava was Director in the Office of Foreign Secretary from September 2006 till June 2009. As Director (Special Assistant) to Foreign Secretary, Mr. Srivastava was responsible for assisting the Foreign Secretary for all his meetings.  He was subsequently posted to Embassy of India in Washington D.C. as Political Counsellor, where he served from July 2009-July 2012.  He was the Consul General of India in Shanghai, China from August 2012-July 2015.

Mr. Srivastava has Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland and Bachelors degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is married and has two daughters.
